Overview

Tab Volume Control is a Chrome extension that lets you independently adjust the volume of every audible browser tab. This policy explains what data the extension does and does not collect.

Data collection

We collect no data. Tab Volume Control does not collect, transmit, store remotely, or share any personal information or browsing data.

Permissions used and why

• tabs — to list which tabs are currently playing audio and show their titles and favicons in the popup.
• scripting — to inject a small script into a tab's page that sets the .volume property on media elements. No page content is read or transmitted.
• storage — to remember volume levels in chrome.storage.session (local to your browser, cleared when the browser closes). Nothing is sent to any server.
• Host permissions (<all_urls>) — required so the volume script can be injected into any tab, regardless of domain. Only the .volume property of media elements is modified; no page content is accessed.

Third-party services

This extension does not use any analytics, advertising, or third-party services.

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a revised date.
